I think the top and bottom ones might be Clouded Sulphurs, middle one is a Variegated Fritillary; feasting on Purple coneflowers (with purple Lantana in the background)

I had the most fun shooting this particular group of blooms of a Chinese Ground Orchid (Bletilla striata). The plant is appropriately named–they only grow about 1-1.5 feet tall. They were in the hosta and fern shade garden at Meadowlark Botanical Garden and the bright green sunny, dancing shapes in the background made the hot pink just pop. I spread out a trash bag because the area was quite muddy and I had my tripod way low to the ground to get the shots. I think it was well worth the effort! Closeup of Pineapple Lily (Eucomis comosa); one of my favorite plants to photograph—the flower stalks are like high rise condominiums full of ants, beetles and other critters, weaving in and out of the blooms!
